ABOUT THE EVENT

The U.S.-Ukraine Foundation has hosted its Ukraine in Washington series in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA since 2011. The event is always held on December 1—the anniversary of Ukraine's referendum vote to confirm popular support for independence—and is the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation's premier occasion to honor and support the people of Ukraine as well as bolster U.S.-Ukraine relations.

This year's Ukraine in Washington & Beyond event will feature three components: a film premiere, symposium, and awards luncheon. The event will benefit the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation's current humanitarian assistance projects, which include providing food, clean water, shelter, heating, and medical supplies to the people of Ukraine.
