Amanda Werboff is a licensed Master Social Worker with over 15 years in both Child Protective Services and outpatient psychotherapy. Amanda now holds a role as the Social Worker for MCPS Community Schools. Community Schools is a national model based on an evidence-based strategy for creating academic success for students, regardless of their race, family income level, or the zip code in which they reside. Currently, we have 26 Community Schools within Montgomery County. Montgomery County Public Schools identified the Community Schools based upon the Governor’s criteria around FARMS rates under the funding of Senate Bill 1030. Our mission is to provide equitable services and outcomes to students, families, and communities. Community Schools provide the physical health, mental health, academic, and extracurricular support services needed to flourish.
