erin-brokovich-with-bookNPC Virtual Book Event: Erin Brockovich, "Superman's Not Coming"

Twenty years after the release of the movie that made her a household name, Erin Brockovich - the legal clerk turned consumer activist - is still fighting for the rights of Americans to clean, safe water.

  • In her new book, “Superman’s Not Coming: Our National Water Crisis and What We the People Can Do About It,” Brockovich seeks to enlist everyday Americans in the fight, and empower people to be their own local heroes with practical lessons and tips for organizing and turning anger into action. On Friday, October 30, Brockovich, who also has a new podcast, will discuss the crisis of contamination of water systems around the nation, and show how ordinary people can create meaningful change at a National Press Club Virtual Book Event.
  • In “Superman’s Not Coming,” Brockovich lays out the dire condition of America’s municipal water system, citing cities like Flint, Michigan and Newark, New Jersey, where environmental poisons have turned water supplies into silent killers inside the home. Brockovich shares stories of citizen activists like the moms in Hannibal, Missouri who forced the town to prohibit ammonia in public drinking water. This 2019.
