Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie will address the National Press Club at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10 from the Club's ballroom as the country prepares to commemorate its veterans. All welcome.

  • Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie will address the National Press Club at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10 from the Club's ballroom as the country prepares to commemorate its veterans.

  • The event comes as VA hospitals across the nation deal with a surge in Covid-19 cases. Doctors at VA  hospitals are caring for nearly 5,700 patients with active cases of the virus.

  • Wilkie, the son of an Army artillery commander wounded in combat during the Vietnam War, is an officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He has held the top VA post since July 30, 2018. As the VA secretary, Wilkie oversees the care of the nation's 18 million veterans and their families.

  • A limited number of seats will be available at the Club for NPC members. Members may submit their requests for in-person attendance via email to Headliners@press.org. A live feed of the event will be available for all who wish to watch and participate virtually.
