CLUB NEWS: CLUB KICKS OFF NEW ENTREPRENEURSHIP FORUM
New Special Interest with HBS Club of DC for
those with entrepreneurial spirit and interests
On September 23, we held our first Entrepreneurship Forum at host Bernstein Global Wealth Management, across from Lafayette Square, and with a fabulous view of the White House and Washington Monument. The event, in partnership with the HBS Club of DC, launched a series that profiles local entrepreneurs and connects them with the business community.
David Adelman kicked things off by presenting Reel Tributes, a company that produces high-end personal history films for families and organizations. After a 30-minute presentation, we held a discussion with the attendees, who asked questions about the business and offered suggestions for marketing the product and raising awareness for family history films.
We look forward to our next Forum event in October, which will be led by fellow Wharton alum Jon Mervis of Mervis Diamond Importers.
The DC Wharton Club Entrepreneurship Forum brings together Wharton, Harvard B-School, and other business school alums in the DC area to discuss exciting new businesses and ideas. The group plans to meet once every other month during breakfast or lunch at a convenient location in or around Washington DC.
The Forum has three main goals:
- Introduce new startup companies to alumni from Wharton, HBS, and other top business schools
- Assist entrepreneurs in developing their companies by providing advice, networking opportunities, and resources to help build entrepreneurial spirit and success
- Promote engagement between recent Wharton and HBS graduates and business leaders in the DC area
