Ali Qureshi, WG, CTO of MedLogiq

Ali Qureshi is the Chief Technology Officer for MedLogiq; an early-stage company focused on delivering a data management platform for the healthcare market.  MedLogiq provides a proven technology platform that transforms product quality and business intelligence by redefining the way data is structured, captured, validated, shared and valued while expanding the benefits it delivers to the healthcare industry. This powerful technology, developed by Mahle, has provided structured data applications for many industrial and research projects for nearly two decades. MedLogiq provides awareness and knowledge that give clear social and economic benefits throughout a healthcare system while also creating new efficiencies and revenue opportunities.

Previously, Ali served as the Chief Operating Officer for MedRed LLC in Washington DC which develops, manufactures and sells Medical Record and Clinical Decision Support Systems to both government and commercial markets. Prior to this, Mr. Qureshi served eight years at the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer at the U.S. House of Representatives in a variety of technology leadership positions, the last three as the Senior Deputy Chief Administrative Officer. In this role, he oversaw House operations and maintained direct oversight of House Information Resources; Administrative and Financial Services; Strategic Initiatives and Assets, and Furnishings and Logistics including a staff of over 700 employees and 1100 contractors. Prior to that, Mr. Qureshi was Director of Advanced Business Solutions and had oversight for all House financial and business support applications.

Prior to that, he worked for Booz Allen and Hamilton and Accenture on projects focusing on environmental policy, telecommunications, strategic sourcing and health care. Mr. Qureshi has international on-site consulting experience, specifically in Sub-Saharan Africa (South Africa, Swaziland, and Lesotho) where he partnered with an international health care consulting organization and the U.S. Department of Defense to support the AIDS Awareness campaign and related program management activities. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in environmental engineering from Wilkes University and an Executive Master’s Degree from the Wharton School and School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania.

VISION FOR HEALTHCARE FORUM

The Healthcare Forum of the Wharton Club of DC aims to provide a venue for innovative organizations to share their ideas, technologies, and practices to address current needs in the healthcare sector and discuss options that can help shape future solutions. The dynamic state of today’s healthcare landscape offers an array of opportunities to reinvent, innovate, or even disrupt existing business models with fresh ideas.

Our objective is to invite speakers who will share with us their organization’s journey to solve complex healthcare challenges, from inception through implementation, and the positive impact their solutions have made and may make. Each distinguished speaker will make a presentation covering their key points, share their lessons learned, assess competitive issues, review regulatory and other challenges, and engage in an interactive dialogue with the attendees.
