Heinan credits the Wharton-HBS Leads Council as
factor in firm's ongoing growth

Optimal Networks, Inc.(founded by Wharton alum, Heinan Landa), a technology support, management, and strategic consulting company serving the DC Metro area, has acquired Database & LAN Solutions (DBLS), an IT support company based in Annandale, VA that has served the DC area for almost three decades.

The acquisition makes it possible for former DBLS clients to take advantage of Optimal’s suite of cloud computing solutions and additional on-site, proactive engineering visits, should they choose to do so. The expanded clien

t base will experience the enhanced service and technical capacities offered by a larger organization.

Optimal has been steadily growing since Landa started the company 22 years ago due, in no small part, to networking at the Wharton Leads Council events. The acquisition has grown Optimal’s staff to 32 people; the company is now managing more than 2000 workstations and over 400 servers for approximately 250 clients.

“It has always been my long-term vision to grow Optimal—in the right ways at the right times,” said Landa. “This means growth that facilitates the continuity of premium service, with an expansion of resources, capabilities, and service offerings. It means growth that, ultimately, benefits Optimal clients and their businesses.”

In addition to his business success, Heinan has been a leader of the Wharton Club, starting and growing the Leads Council, now in its 10th year. He received the Club's highest honor, its Joseph Wharton Award, in 2013 in view of his career success, community service and role in the DC Wharton Club.
