With two satellites currently orbiting the earth, Apize has developed and tested a highly reliable and low-cost system for remote monitoring and tracking of fixed and mobile assets. A low-cost infrastructure and licensed access to wireless spectrum has provided excellent response and customer feedback to early beta products. Target markets include remote propane tank monitoring market, pipeline monitoring and other, related markets for which sensors in remote locations suggest satellite, rather cellular communication.

Sekou Murphy's WinGrins Media is an entertainment community-building portal that distributes original video and textual content focused on independent and undiscovered hip hop. Community-building tools to be developed include instant messaging on videos, uploading your own video, and merchandise/ticketing. This site is planned as a one-stop-shop for artists, managers, recording labels and fans. The site will include website building and hosting tools, a place for artists and recording labels to communicate, and a hosting site for fans and fan clubs.

Panelists for the evening include Tom Scholl, General Partner, Novak Biddle, and Maryland High Technology Council "Entrepreneur of the Year."
