Mercy Corps chief executive Tjada D’Oyen McKenna plans to address humanitarian efforts to protect the world’s most vulnerable communities during a global pandemic at a National Press Club Headliners Virtual Newsmaker event at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 25.  All welcome.

  • The one-hour program will stream live and is accessible to both the media and members of the general public free of charge. You can access the event or download a calendar reminder here.
  • Mercy Corps, a non-governmental aid group, works in more than 40 countries, including conflict zones and difficult access areas. It is one of the few non-governmental organizations still working in Syria, now in its 10th year of civil war. The organization says the COVID-19 pandemic is worsening food insecurity, unemployment, economic and gender inequality, and conflict.
