With debt as a s
hare of the economy on track to surpass record levels within a decade and inflation at a 40-year high, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget launched a nationwide coalition in support of the Fiscal State of the Nation Resolution. Sponsored by Representatives Kathleen Rice (D-NY) and Andy Barr (R-KY), the resolution would require the Congressional Budget Committees to convene an annual joint hearing on the condition of the government’s finances.
