NPC's American Legion Post Meeting to Feature WWII Author

American Legion Post 20's next meeting will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at noon in the McClendon Room . The guest speaker will be author Alex Kershaw. He plans to discuss his book, "The Liberator," which is the true story of Felix Sparks, a Texas-born officer who fought in WWII from the beaches of Sicily to the gates of Dachau. The Liberator also became a Netflix series.

This will be a hybrid meeting, with a Zoom component for those who live outside the DC area or who cannot get to the Press Club. The Zoom link is posted below. 

All Press Club members are invited to this luncheon meeting. The Press Club asks that attendees pay for the meal in one bill, so attendees are asked to bring cash to cover the cost.

Post 20 has been affiliated with the National Press Club for more than a century. The post was founded at the urging of famed WWI General John J. Pershing, who was an associate member of the Press Club.
