  • Paula Bresnan Gibson created the Gibson Mediation Group, LLC (gibsonmediationgroup.com) because, as an attorney, she experienced the contentious and expensive nature of legal disputes.
  • She realized there were better ways of resolving differences than going to court. By spending time trying to facilitate agreements, rather than months or years in litigation, Paula enables people in family disputes to find solutions by getting them to talk and work through their differences.
  • Paula’s use of her legal experience and conflict resolution skills guides couples and families to reach agreements that they devise, reducing the amount of stress, time, and litigation costs.
  • Paula holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA, an M.A. in Liberal Studies from Georgetown University, and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore.
  • She is on the domestic mediation rosters of the Circuit Court of Montgomery and Howard Counties; the D.C. Superior Court Domestic Relations ADR Facilitator roster; an ADR access mediator at the Mediation Center for the Pacific; and is a Court-Appointed Volunteer Visitor in the Montgomery County Circuit Court Adult Guardianship program.
