Maureen Colburn "Just TryanIt - Impact in the Community" 8/11
A Bethesda-based nonprofit on a mission to ease the financial burden on families with a child in cancer treatment. Wharton Club members and guests are invited!

- Maureen Colburn is the Executive Director of JUST TRYAN IT (JTI), a Bethesda-based nonprofit on a mission to ease the financial burden on families with a child in cancer treatment.
- Through Emergency Assistance and Deep Needs grants, JTI helps families cover critical expenses — from housing and transportation to utilities and groceries — so they can focus on what matters most: their child's healing.
- At the heart of JTI's mission is the annual Bethesda Kids Triathlon, where children ages 6–14 swim, bike, and run — not just to race, but to raise funds for families fighting cancer.
- In 16 years, the organization has served more than 4,030 families, raised over $7.1 million, and distributed grants through hospital partners across four states.
- Maureen leads the organization with passion, purpose, and an unwavering belief that when neighbors show up for one another, extraordinary things happen.
