For this very special evening, Israeli flutist and arranger Matan Klein will present, together with his sextet, a brand new creation: 

Some of the great classics of  Israeli music reimagined through original jazz arrangements created especially for this concert. The program will feature melodies by Naomi Shemer, Haim Hefer, Miki Gavrielov and Matti Caspi, transformed by Matan Klein into a musical world where jazz, groove, funk, reggae, swing and African influences come together.

These songs, deeply rooted in Israel’s musical heritage, will take on a new dimension, giving full expression to rhythm, improvisation and musical freedom. The evening will be even more special as it will also celebrate Matan Klein’s birthday — a wonderful opportunity to share, both on stage and in the audience, a moment of music, celebration and warm conviviality.

For this premiere, Matan Klein will be joined by some of the finest musicians on the Israeli jazz scene: Matan Klein (Flute & arrangements), Nitzan Bar (Guitar), Dor Bar-On (Piano, Keyboards), Avri Borochov (Double bass), Roy Oliel (Drums), Gilad Dobrecky (Percussion).
