Future of Medicine Startup Pitch Showcase at the 12th Wharton DC Innovation Summit

• On October 1, 2026, the Healthcare/Life Sciences Innovation Track at Valo Park in Tysons, Virginia will bring together physicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, healthcare executives, academic innovators, policymakers, and strategic partners to explore how medicine will evolve over the next 25 years.

   

• As part of the Healthcare Track, we will feature a Future of Medicine Startup Pitch Showcase highlighting innovative early-stage companies in three categories:

  • Biotech — including biologics and cell & gene therapy
  • MedTech — including devices and diagnostics
  • AI-Augmented Health-Tech — including digital health, clinical workflow, care delivery, and data-driven healthcare platforms

• A panel of judges (Board Members of SoPE) will select two companies from each category to present during the Summit.
• Applicants should be members of the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SoPE) www.sopenet.org and submit a completed application together with a non-confidential pitch deck of approximately 10–12 slides.
• Companies will be evaluated on the significance of the problem, strength of the solution, validation, market opportunity, regulatory and commercial strategy, team quality, and fit with the Summit audience.
